Standing water in your backyard is not just an annoyance. It's a warning sign. What starts as a puddle here and there can quietly work its way toward your foundation, seep into your basement, and cause serious - and expensive - damage over time. Most homeowners don't act until that happens. By then, the fix is a lot bigger than a drainage pipe.

We see yards like this all the time. Water pooling in the low spots, soggy patches that never fully dry out, grass that looks stressed because the roots are sitting in standing water. It's one of those problems that's easy to ignore until you can't anymore. The patio area gets slick, the lawn gets torn up every time someone walks across it, and the whole backyard becomes unusable.

Here's the thing - poor yard drainage is almost always fixable. It comes down to understanding where the water is coming from, where it needs to go, and what's getting in the way. Sometimes that means installing a French drain. Sometimes it's a surface drain or a catch basin. Sometimes it's a combination. Every yard is different, and we take the time to figure out the right solution instead of just throwing the same fix at every situation.

What we don't do is patch things together and hope for the best. Yard drainage done right means the water has a clear path out - away from your lawn, your landscaping, your patio, and most importantly, your home's foundation. A properly designed drainage system protects all of that and gives you your backyard back.

If your yard looks anything like what we're showing here, don't sit on it. The longer standing water sticks around, the more damage it can quietly cause. We're happy to come take a look and talk through what's going on.
